Hi! This post needs to be 'prefaced' with: I am not a saint, by any means! but there sure is spiritual illness in this world! Most of the time I am speaking of physical illness in our world. That was most on my mind when I began my web magazine Your Health And Tech Friend back in October of 2010. Today, because of my work on the internet, I'm more educated of what is ailing our world.

Since I have been working on the internet I've had occasion to see what is happening in other places: happening in places outside of my little neck of the woods. I have seen some really wild things. Now, in my life I've been very spiritually sick; I speak freely of just one of my spiritual illnesses - my alcoholism. That is, in my thinking - a form of great spiritual illness. And, through spirituality I've been coming out of that alcoholic fog, one day at a time. (I feel that my spiritual lack preceded the alcohol.) But I'm sure not that healthy in other aspects of my life, I work on it through increasing my awareness and getting closer to God, in my life. That is how I handle it. As for our world? I do pray for people every day. What have I seen that makes me think of this today? Oh my!

One night while searching on YouTube to find out how to use an hypodermic needle - (to administer vitamin C, if I chose to do that), vitamin C will cure anything, by the way. Do you know what I found on YouTube? Young boys shooting themselves up with hormone injections in order to initiate their sex changes. Kids - maybe 14 years old giving themselves shots in the leg (thigh) behind their closed bathroom doors. What I can imagine is that they live in homes of decent economic security, with parents in the next rooms who have no idea of what their sons are doing. It is my feeling that homes with money, people of higher economic situations have children who have both the time and the means to do this type of thing. And quite possibly the spiritual lack that would bring them to this type of activity.

This is my video: Are We Living In A World Where People Believe We Can Live Without God? ~~~Nancy

Is the increase in sickness and disease related to the decrease in spirituality?

Making money - I'm all for it, in fact I'm working hard to make more of it! There isn't anything wrong with making large amounts of money, but what I've heard lately - from the great word is, we need to know what to do with money. Money can be a wonderful asset or it can be the root of all evil. Just needing to work outside of the home when there are children in the home that need attention, and no one is present to raise them - that is only one thing that has gone wrong in the United States. And no doubt it is happening in other countries. Just as physical illness is growing in other countries - as they become more westernised, no doubt spiritual illness is growing as well. But it isn't just people who need to work, it is people who have a desire to work outside of the home - not for the money.

Other things I've seen on the internet... sexual abuses of so many kinds. One of the things that hurts very badly to see is human trafficking and sex trade trafficking. Man that is a tough one to swallow. And modernized pornographic industries (in the state of California) for one; I've seen how sex taping is an industry, made pristine looking - celebrities making sex tapes. It gives them lots of cash and celebrity. Recently, I was watching videos of a certain personality who I like*, that person walked into a building that caters to sex taping, (it's an acceptable industry). The walls were so

white, everything was painted white - and clean looking

. There wasn't a piece of extra furniture in the reception area; only a reception desk with an individual to greet people. It was set up to look absolutely clean and pure.

The person I was there to see was a comedian - she was in this facility as part of a spoof on

what she would want

, in the way of making a taping of this nature; she wasn't the typical candidate. She was quite an older person - not the norm to request these services, I watched the video far enough to watch this woman interview two of the actors used in this industry. I left that video feeling as if I'd seen pornagraphy, and in fact, I had. Not something I do any more; not to say that I have not, in my time. And I am constantly realizing that everyone is not at the same place in life either. I grow up - and I feel that the world should not be this type of place.

This blog post did not start out to be a tell all of myself - and I didn't begin with the intention of getting in to a rant on pornography, but that is where I went and, as I so rightly began with

I am not a saint.

And might I say, many of the saints began as persons of seedy or poor character so, there is hope for me yet, huh? I've come a long way and it is strictly because of spiritual healing. Now back to my main point, there is spiritual illness in our world and it is growing and not going to go away. Our world needs prayer and I suppose it should start with me. Amen! ~~~Nancy P.S. I don't think that I'll be a saint - by the way. Don't know if I would want to try!

* [It was Joan Rivers... she was there to see about making a sex tape!]

Hello All!

My dog Pearl had a basal cell tumor on her skin at a place on her head just behind one of her ears. We first spotted this tumor growing a few years ago. My best thinking is that it was four years ago. I searched online of course, and it matched a picture of a basal cell tumor.

Below is the tumor in it's 'full glory'
!

Please note: I have much more pictures that I will post to a web page one day at Your Health And Tech Friend Magazine! When I do, I will let you know! ~~~Nancy

Well, here is Pearl! Look below to see her video - Her 'Morning Walk'! ~~~Nancy

We have had the product called Miracle Mineral Solution in our home for at least the past four years. Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS) is what I used for this tumor the first time it came up. The tumor shrank in maybe seven days or less. How I handled it at that time was by mixing a very strong solution of MMS, i.e. about 12 drops. I dipped a 'wadded up' paper towelling into the solution and just pressed it against the lump, I only held it against the tumor for several minutes at a time and then repeated this process several times per day for a few days. I cannot think back to tell you exactly how many days. It was in a short amount of time however, that the tumor began to shrink. It just shrunk up and finally became very small.

Looking to articles online I found that basal cell tumors are common for a dog to get. Also I found that they can return. In approximately two years the tumor grew back. During this time I had purchased a new product for skin cancer; for my own skin cancer. I found something called Black Salve. I first purchased this salve from a friend of a friend. The next time that I bought it I found an online source who sold it under the name of "Indian Herb". Both times that I bought it, the salve was made of a combination of herbs but the main ingredients are zinc chloride and DMSO.

<

The zinc chloride and herbs do the work, the DMSO gets the product into the skin to get to the root of any cancer tumor. So when this tumor returned to my dog's scalp I used black salve to do the job. And it did. This second occurrence was only about six months ago, I only recall applying the salve one time. I believe the tumor is gone. The next time I think of it I'll check it. If there is anything to note, I will come back to this blog post and update this page. But, Pear - my dog, is fine. She has starred in a few of my YouTube videos! I call her a media darling. She is a very pretty dog and I say that because so many people have told me that! We frequently go for a morning walk - I will post that video on this page.

Please note: I only took the tumor down - so far, to an acceptable place. It was surface height; and almost completely deflated. I left it at that - the first time; and it cause my Pearl no difficulty. The next time I took it out with black salve - I am satisfied with the results, if I can get a newer picture I will do that and place it here! ~~~Nancy

Well, bye for now! ~~~Nancy

Pearl's Morning Walk - 'Run'??? She's got energy! ~~~Nancy

Remember! This is not medical or veterinary advice! If you or your dog or pet has a medical condition, I recommend you see a medical doctor or veterinarian! Pearl recommends that too!

Hi! Working With Family | Beautiful Fall Weather | My Day Today! ~~~Nancy

It was raining out this evening - and drizzled during the day. It's been beautiful fall weather, though - here in Cleveland, Ohio. We have fantastic seasons here! I really love each of the four seasons. It was even very cold yesterday and it just smelled so fresh and clean in the air. It was exhilarating.

Hi Blog! This is Nancy. I've been away for a few days; but I've been doing something with family and family has to come first - if it is possible to be done. So, I've missed you. I've worked on some videos... I've answered / responded to comments. People are really nice on YouTube. There are some kooks! But that is not all that frequent.

Earlier today I was out and took my laptop with me to work. At that 'session' - I work in sessions; at that time I watched some videos of a friend - I was going to post a video of his and promote his work; however even though I think he is a nice person - (I just re-listened to one of his video) and he swears pretty much a lot. And I don't want to promote that. In my opinion, people will go farther without the use of profanity on YouTube; longer into the future. It might be funny on a younger person, but as they age - where will it take them? It won't be so cute then.

I also looked at another 'friend' on YouTube: Jason Wiser. He hosts
"A Live event series that helps your business get on track and stay on track one expert at a time. We will be discussing every aspect of running a business online. We will discuss everything from strategy planning, building ..."
This is the tag line to one of his videos... His series called On Track Tips. I love that series and have watch a few. He did a Hang Out On Air with a woman named Cynthia Sanchez

, she knows everything about growing your business using the social media network Pinterest. If you are in business online; or off-line - you can use his On Track Tips for help in growing the business using social media. There really is a lot to learn about it!

Well enough rambling from me. Hope each of you reading this post has a great day; wherever you are in your day! Bye for now! ~~~Nancy

I'll get back and post as soon as I possibly can! Miss you all! ~~~Nancy

Ya know, it can be tough - learning lessons in life. I try and do good; be good to people, people in my life, people that I love. Sometimes I give too much of myself; or expect a great deal from myself; I let myself down sometimes by losing patience with someone that I love. Patience is something that I have a lot of. I don't know why. Patience with others comes easier, patience with myself is more difficult. I've learned to be patient with others; so, I suppose the lesson of being gentler on myself will come in time too.

Everyone loses patience with people they love; at one time or another in life. It's called 'being human'. But, I don't want myself to be human - at least I act as if I should be more than human - because I still feel very let down when I'm not perfect; and it is usually by snapping at someone. I won't ever be perfect, but I can keep trying to behave better.

Over the past years I have to say, I've gotten so much better. Having patience is something we learn as we grow up; my growing up was delayed quite a few years by my drinking. It's not an excuse - it's reality.

Your brain can't grow when it is numbed. Your emotions aren't available when they are 'sopped' with alcohol.

Being an alcoholic is my story. I thank God that I'm sober; and have been - I'm in my 25th year of sobriety. But this growing up thing - it's still newer to me. I missed those 'formative' years - I'm grinning because that was sort of a joke ('formative' years are younger years). But I did miss the growing up years. From 19 to...33 years old - I drank and drowned my sorrows in booze. It is just my story. One part of it - at least, but a major part. And it will always be; so that I will remember - and not have to go back to that life! (They say that 'history should always be remembered, so that it won't be repeated. I believe in that.)

That is one large reason that I love my job so very much. In my past - until 25 years ago, I didn't have a clue as to what I really wanted to be. And when I'd attempted things; they never really took off. What I can share with certainty is that - alcohol and drugs will rob you of your life. Even while living(meaning if it doesn't literally take your life - nothing really gets going when you are using something. So, finding a few careers in these past 25 years is an amazing bonus. Wife, mother and now, who would have figured, website publisher, YouTube Creator,

WOW

. And all I did was put down a drink and pick up a life! Well, I had to pick up some spiritual tools too - and ask for some guidance, from some people and from a 'Power Greater Than Myself'. That power could have been any 'of my choosing'. No one said what my Higher Power had to be like. It could be anything, as long as it was greater than me. The only power that I knew was 'God'. [You can see my web page titled: "God's Promise".] Didn't quite know how to work with - God. But, thankfully - with a lot of practice, and time - I found more and more help and direction from my God. And it has developed over the years. And it got easier; life got easier.

So today I struggle sometimes with small things like - losing patience for a minute with someone that I love; at least

I have the people in my life, who I love

and they love me. I never had that back when I was drinking. So, growing up late is - much better than never growing up at all.

Another day, and another crisis in ~~~Nancy's day solved. So easy if I just - try and not always have to be in charge, if I can say that I can learn, and I can make a mistake. Most importantly, if I can realize that

other's have a right to be human!

Bye for now! ~~~Nancy

Also, now you know. If I'm complaining or whining... I'm just learning another lesson! And learning is good!

Well, the old adage "sleep on it" is certainly true. Things are a bit, no - a lot brighter today.

My life is better today than it was yesterday. Things always change, when you just give it a day. Sleeping on it is very important as things always look more bleak in the evenings. Things are darkest before the dawn. Old sayings were said for a reason!

The happenings in my life are categorized as either, 'pre-sobriety' or 'post-sobriety', and in my drinking years, (I am a recovering alcoholic); in my drinking years - before 25 years ago; I never knew how much I cared for classical music. I've got Dvorak on the radio beside me right now; I love Dvorak's music. I love classical music; and never knew. Only since creating YouTube Videos have I really come to feel my love for classical music. Some of my videos are galleries of images that I have, collected - and put into motion, and set to music.

You Tube provides some 'royalty free' music for video creators. Some selections are of the classics; and some are current artists. Some of my favourites are: The Jingle Punks; Topher, Mahr and Alex Elena; Silent Partner; Huma-Huma. These are some screwy names; but there music is phenomenal. I love the music they offer and I have used many selections. If you listen to the video above; you will hear some of the music that I have used.

Oh... man! I just put my headphones on and - I just love this music; I'm looking to see who's music this is.

Music: "Mother's Son" - Topher, Mahr and Alex Elena

This video contains images from The Sorrowful Mother Shrine... oh it is pretty there!

This music is titled "Mother's Son" - (which is perfect for this video). These are images of the Blessed Mother Mary shrine; - get it, 'mother's son' - Jesus and Mary. How very cool that turned out; and I only picked it for the music; the title was coincidental. It is by musicians named Topher, Mahr and Alex Elena. I think I left out their full names in the video. Woops! It was one of my first gallery - image videos. The music is beautiful!

So, from one of my bleakest-feeling days - to a pretty good day was only about an 8 hour difference. So, whatever is going on in your life; just give it one more day. Give it to this evening when you put your head on the pillow; and let everything go - at that point. All you have to do - is the day. And your done. You are a success. Tomorrow morning - I promise - things will look better.

Bye for now! ~~~Nancy

"...Ya know what? I believe that I actually have depression right now; sometimes, I just don't know. Not the clinical type, I'm not in bed all day. But there is just a sadness that I have that I don't seem to be able to shake. It doesn't last all day though. ~~~Nancy

Hi Everybody! Well that doesn't sound like a pretty subject at all! Does it? There has been a lot going on; and it's just not easy these days. It's not my usual complaint of website work; and people not understanding. It's something else. I can't talk about it here. It involves family, so - it's not for me to post.

All things pass - this I know. It just isn't fun going through these kinds of times. I keep doing what I know to do; let it - 'whatever it is' - go, one day at a time. One minute at a time.

You can't change people. That is for sure. What

we can change is our attitude. And, that is under my control.

I will keep trying. Trying to let go. My motto is "Let Go and Let God". But, it is always easier for me to say - than to do.

Bye! ~~~Nancy

Red Light Camera Laws | Shorter Yellow Lights | My Near Death! ~~~Nancy

... Can it be that the 'Red Light Camera Law' causes more traffic accidents at intersections, because of the shortened duration of yellow lights? A shorter 'yellow light' signal makes for more dollars for the city's pockets! And, it almost caused my demise! ~~~Nancy

My 'Traffic-Light Incident | Chicago IL USA ~~~Nancy

Red Light Cameras | Short Yellow Lights | Intersection Safety ~~~Nancy

At a 4-way highway intersection on the outskirts of the city of Chicago, IL is where my daughter and I

came the closest to losing our lives! I've lived and driven in a major city all of my life, Cleveland, OH so
I didn't think that I was a stranger to driving a car in city traffic. That is until I drove in Chicago about 6 or 7 years ago! It was a very close call!

When driving to see a dance recital performance of our friend's young daughter, in the city of Chicago I was in a hurry, running a bit late. As I approached an intersection in the turning lane, my intention was to 'hit it' when the light turned yellow in order to make the left turn. I was not aware of the differences in the traffic light patterns of Cleveland and Chicago. Many years before this, Cleveland had adopted a new traffic light system - there would be a 'delay' in between the red light of one direction of traffic and the green light which directed the traffic from the other set of lanes. Essentially, a longer 'yellow' signal.

Ah Ha! At researching the 'yellow light delay' for this article, I came upon what might have been one factor in this close call.
Taken from text, below on this page:
"...the exploitation of short yellow light times is a common practice in communities using red light ticket cameras."

Ah Ha! The Red Light Camera Laws! I didn't expect that I would have found this - it is a hot topic in Ohio at this time! Most likely in all states and other countries too! I believe it is on the ballot in the upcoming election November 2014.

"Currently 21 states and Washington, D.C.,

use automated cameras at traffic intersections to catch violations such as running through red lights and stopping over white lines. While the cameras bring in thousands of extra dollars, drivers and some government officials argue they are inaccurate and rip people off. NBC's Tom Costello reports."
By Lisa Riordan Seville and Hannah Rappleye, NBC News
Drivers dread it -- that flash as they try to speed through a yellow traffic light. It’s a red light camera, and a signal that a ticket is on the way.
"A rarity 15 years ago, red light cameras have become ubiquitous in many U.S. cities. Communities in 24 states and Washington, D.C., now use the cameras to try to decrease illegal -- and sometimes deadly -- traffic violations" Read more at: http://investigations.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/19/17010355-lights-cameras-reaction-resistance-builds-against-red-light-cameras

The yellow signal

"(1) Vehicular traffic, streetcars, and trackless trolleys facing a steady circular yellow or yellow arrow signal are thereby warned that the related green movement is being terminated or that a red indication will be exhibited immediately thereafter when vehicular traffic, streetcars, and trackless trolleys shall not enter the intersection." - See more at: http://statutes.laws.com/ohio/title45/chapter4511/4511_13#sthash.g0uG4eoi.dpuf

The paragraph above is taken from An Ohio Government Transportation website. That paragraph also tells me, that I should not enter the intersection: and, that is in Ohio! The delay must just be a courtesy!

I did not know that Chicago did not have this 'delay' opportunity; until that day and that moment where I was actually at an intersection - facing a yellow light.

A delay in the traffic light directional signals, provides just a couple of moments opportunity for a person to navigate a turn within the intersection. This pause was adopted in my city many years ago. I had no reason to believe that this same window of opportunity wouldn't be available to me - at the time that I approached the traffic light in Chicago. I hadn't driven within the city proper to speak of, only upon entering the city several days prior to this. This was my first encounter with inner-city traffic. I believe that I was just outside of the inner city of Chicago. Oh boy, is that a tough time to figure out a traffic light difference. Oh boy was I in trouble, as well as my passenger!

My passenger was my daughter, Delilah, she was maybe twelve-year old at the time. She and I were visiting friends in Chicago. We were headed to see the recital - a dance recital of a family friend. I'd mapquested the directions and we were on our way and running a little late.

A Related Note On Yellow Lights

What is the Stop Short Yellow Lights Project?
"The NMA Foundation has long known that

the exploitation of short yellow light times is a common practice in communities using red light ticket cameras.

The Stop Short Yellow Lights Project is designed to identify and publicize the locations where the use of short yellow light timing is

being used to bolster ticket camera revenue."

What Does The Duration Of A Yellow Light Have To Do With Accident Prevention?

The positive effect of increasing the yellow light time at a troublesome intersection (an increase of one second can reduce violations by 50%) is undisputed by even the most zealous supporters of red-light cameras. Nevertheless, despite clear evidence that is unsafe to do so, several cities have been caught shortening yellow light times to increase red-light camera profits."

- See more at: http://blog.motorists.org/help-us-expose-red-light-camera-corruption/#sthash.WFIACXIf.dpuf - See more at: http://blog.motorists.org/help-us-expose-red-light-camera-corruption/#sthash.WFIACXIf.dpuf

My daughter's head was just about the height of the dashboard at that time - however, she could see out of the passenger side window. At the moment that I was ready to shoot out into the intersection - I advanced to just short of the light - and instantly, traffic came at us from up ahead in the oncoming lanes - three lanes of traffic in all directions. In the car which was approaching most near me;

I could see the face of the woman at the wheel. Just for an instant our eyes met.

I actually felt - for the first time in my life, what it must feel like to be a trapped animal in the wild. Adrenaline just shot through my entire body, I think that was why my senses were so heightened. I could see far in the distance very well! What also came into my visual awareness was the face of a woman in the car off to my right; this was quite a distance away, but, I could see a woman's face. The words that I read into these faces were, "we are on our way, you best be ready". I don't remember if there was compassion, I recall only awareness. Awareness that I was there and that they were going to be advancing. Looking back it is very clear to me that traffic in Chicago stops for no man, or woman or child. Two words came out of my mouth, "Delilah, pray." And I knew that she would. I knew that prayer was quite necessary.

At this very moment, which is seven or eight years later - a warm knot has come into my stomach at the thought that went through my mind at that split second: "How can I possibly navigate in to this turn - in time to be ahead of the traffic that was to come, from two different directions? How"?

Ever since that time in Chicago when I am driving on the familiar streets and highways of Cleveland, I am most aware of when and how, people will wait and give a car the opportunity to come into a lane; change lanes, etc. I can see the courtesy given one person, by another person. In Cleveland there are 'people' behind the wheels' of cars. In Chicago there is traffic with vehicles just going. Going to where they are headed. There seems to be no cognisance that there are people behind the wheels of other cars.

Does the sheer volume of traffic make the difference? There isn't an inch, visually - between vehicles in the city traffic in Chicago. In Cleveland even when we had rush hour traffic, well I didn't drive that much in our city traffic - pre 1974, when our city had a lot of traffic. I graduated from high school in 1974. However, Chicago must have had a similar transition in employment as Cleveland had. All of America lost their industry in the same time span from outsourcing of jobs. In about 1976, I - for the first time experienced what it felt like to not get the job. I'd applied for a job and, didn't get it. This hadn't happened for me; or anyone in those days.

What caused these job losses?

Table 1 shows the manufacturing industries with the largest job losses in the 1978-2007 period.[3] .

What caused these job losses? In reacting to Steve Hansen’s article, John Lounsbury pointed out: Now, to be fair, not all the employment decline was due to increased employment overseas. Trade deficits remained fairly benign by 21st century standards. Employment declined significantly because of productivity improvements as more and more automation replaced manual labor.[4] So let’s look at job-saving automation. In the 1987 to 2007 period, manufacturing value added output has increased by 123% while employment has fallen by 21%. This suggests an overall productivity increase of 181% for the manufacturing sector, and it would have been greater if the data had gone back to 1978. So where in manufacturing were productivity gains greatest? Probably in electronics and computers.

This industrial loss had to have affected the city traffic across America. But, I can tell you - Chicago, Illinois has traffic. And the traffic stops, for no man!

Obviously, I am writing this blog post - in 2014 so my daughter and I did not perish at that intersection in Chicago that day. At the time, I did not know if we would get through that light without experiencing the

old Malachi Crunch!

(see below). I did not know.

The

Malachi Crunch

is a situation that I learned about from watching the television show "Happy Days". The idea is that, two vehicles coming from opposite directions, smash into another vehicle - at the same time! I thought this was our fate. But we prayed. And I got through that intersection.

"... He tells Richie to tell Howard to delay the start of the derby. Richie tells Howard about the situation. Potsie sings "America the Beautiful" as the derby is set to begin. The Malachi Brothers arrive and they want the derby to start. Richie announces the other entrants and reads the rules of the contest. Pinky arrives in her #7 car and Fonzie in his #6 car. Pinky tells Fonzie that she doesn't want to wear a helmet. Marion says, "Gentleman, start your stock". The derby begins and Fonzie and Pinky talk over walkie talkies. Fonzie's car stalls, but he is able to start the car by hitting the dashboard with his hand and escapes the

Malachi Crunch

. Six cars remain and Rocco throws some flour into Lefty Banducci's face and they take him out with the Malachi Crunch. Rocco tries the same stunt on the Fonz, but the Fonz pulls out a hair dryer and blows it back at him. Two teams remain (Fonzie and Pinky and the Malachi Brothers) in the competition. Pinky stalls and she goes out to fix her engine and the Malachi Crunch strikes her car. Pinky is hurt and taken to the hospital for x-rays and gives Fonzie her pink scarf...." ... to this page ...

It is not my intention to drive in the city of Chicago again! Or any city that has a similar traffic system. And I appreciate my own city! I've lived in this city all of my life, outside of a 'New York minute' in 76/77 (went to Sacramento California for a minute). And, I have lived in the nearby city of Euclid, OH for maybe two years, at one point in the 1980's. I am happy with my city and used to it's own traffic difficulties, which are minimal. The people here are great also. I've got 'home town pride'!

Hospitals - Yuck! ~~~Nancy

Well, today I found myself in - of all places, a hospital! Visiting someone. I hate hospitals. They

stink

, and they are

full of germs

. In this past eight (8) years, I've been on one (1) antibiotic, and that might have been in 2007 or early 2008 when I had a sinus infection. I've been taking colloidal silver since 2006, not every day - but most days I take it. So, if I keep going on this healthy, drug-free path, possibly I have a chance of never having to have to go to one: a hospital that is.

My family, the people in my own house, know of my feelings. I know that my family will respect this desire, as it is their desire also - not to cross the threshold of a hospital. The self-care that I've learned in these past eight or so years, may provide us with the ability to stay out of hospitals; barring accidents. My intention is to continue to learn what I need to know, that will prevent sickness from arising for myself and my family.

In my lifetime I have seen so many people in the hospital - possibly more than any average person; who does not work at a hospital. In my youth, I was taught that you visit people. You visit at the hospital, at nursing homes and you attend funerals. So in my time I have seen my share of illness and death. This is one of the few rules that I have actually obeyed. Why? I don't know.

My first funeral was for a woman named Rose and I was maybe 5 years old. One of my grandmothers watched me during the day, when everyone else was working or at school, so it was before I was in school. My grandmother was the best; I've got

wonderful

memories of the times we spent together. On this one day - I remember her taking my hand, and walking me out of I believe her house and her words were, "You'll have to go to a funeral one day and I've got no where to leave you, so you're going to have to go with me". And that day I saw my first 'body in a casket'. The woman's name was Rose, and she must have been one of my grandmother's friends.

Nothing bad happened to me because of this that I can imagine. It is my feelings that kids handle things in the manner in which their parent or guardian does. And, my grandmother was fine with it, and so was I.

Today, I am fully aware that I would much rather be at a funeral home than in a hospital or nursing home. I've had some pretty emotionally disturbing experiences in hospitals. I've seen human suffering at it's most extreme; in hospitals and in nursing homes. How to compare which was worse than another? I wouldn't know how.

Please see my video: "The Harsh Realities Of Life" ~~~Nancy

This video is where I talk about what is on this blog post.

One of the most extreme sights I've seen was in a nursing home. This particular nursing home was for people who have what is called a Trach Tube, in place. If 'one' has a tracheotomy tube in place, 'one' cannot go to just any old nursing home or rehab facility. One would require a facility that 'accepts Trach Tubes'. While visiting my friend in one of these facilities; walking down a hallway - I saw something that no one wants to see in their lifetime.

Part of me has always been inquisitive.

Inquisitive is one word to define me; but is it in the top 5 words?

Which 5 Words Do you believe define or describe you? Want to take the challenge? ~~~Nancy

I touch things that aren't supposed to be touched; I walk on things that are not supposed to be walked on. And if a door is ajar; I will most likely - given the opportunity, I will look in. And on that day, in that hallway - I did look into a door that was ajar. It was slightly opened and it was dark inside - it looked like an ordinary patient's room. I stuck my head into the room and just inside was a crib-like box. Crib-like in structure and height, but no rails: solid sides. And lying inside of this box was a small figure, not a child's, just a very, very slight - bony structure of a person; clothed in a hospital gown, on it's side. I've got to say, 'it' because I could only be guessing that this looked to be the figure of a woman. With the lights dimmed - nearly off and only the light from the hallway I could see this figure and I knew. This was the body of a patient, who had just not, yet expired. And maybe would not expire for some time.
That, my friends was one of the most cruel sights I've seen in my time. Possibly it wasn't the worst because, I don't think that the person had been aware of anything for some time. The 'beat' had just not stopped. The heart. The facility and the medical community - were only providing for this person's form, body. And that is what I see in our world today; at least in America, the place with the best medical care. That is what is called quality of life.
>

Sorry so morbid but what I know is that it is in hospitals where these types of situations begin. And nursing homes are where they land up; at least for many persons whom I've known. I've visited many people. And the visits begin at the hospital. From there, it's all down hill for many. Once they get you, they got you. And I don't want to begin!

Sorry this has been so morbid. ~~~Nancy

As much as I have been known to moan about the troubles that I have - from family, about my job on the internet: The way they do not understand; and the way's in which they doubt my job and my work... what I have to say, is that I am a very proud member of the internet community.

Being online for 4 years now, I have met (virtually met) some of the kindest - most knowledgeable and generous people that I've known in my life in any workplace that I have been in.

Just to name a few there is: Lisa Irby of 2 Create A Website and WebsitePalace.com and her very generous online website building talents; Darren Rowse, the ProBlogger and author of Digital Photography School; to Jason Wiser, Digital Business Strategy Consultant, and CEO of Wiser Sites, also the host of On Track Tips. Just to name a few. These three people so generously share their knowledge. They each are so talented and have such a wealth of knowledge. I have learned so much from them!

Just a very short time ago, I heard it said that we, me included, are in a sense - pioneers of the internet and online work-world. I agree very much with that because the internet is evolving and changing all of the time. The three persons I named above have come before me; and have paved a road for those of us who follow. They've taken that leap of faith, they have taken risks and have each forged ahead into unknown territory. They each must have had their share of struggles and have faced them. And today, each share the experience and strengths that they have gathered along their individual paths. They are inspiring and their work is exceptional: I am very proud to say that I am a member of this community.

So... for now, I am not complaining! ~~~Nancy

P.S. Thank you guys! I thank you!
